Each kit comes in a plastic box, containing materials and instructions for one or more hands-on science activities.
Materials are robust for long term use; kit includes replacements for disposable items.
Cost includes materials and $30/hr for documentation and assembly. Costs vary by the box and whether I have made the same one before.
Minimum cost per box $50 if I have done it before and materials are cheap. Many boxes are more like $100 and up.
My kits are expensive as I do not mass produce them. There are many excellent cheaper kits out there by many education companies, for example 4M, Thames and Kosmos, Kidder, Learning Resources.
